SPORE OF THE FREEMIND SPORALI
This is a series of faction quests, that results in a neat little range item.
The range item itself is decent, but you can also mezz Sporali MOB's (up to Level 72) with it, for up to 230 seconds.
While this is a series of four solo tasks, that must be done in order, there is no way you are going to finish it without decent help.
If you are a fan of progression or sequences, these tasks technically come after the ones handed out by Anaglas in Sunderock Springs, you to are sent to Anaglas as the last task (4th task) in that series. That series, by the way, offers you three reward choices, the best of which is probably an 18 AC, 135 HP neck piece.

THE QUEST
1) DIREWIND CLIFFS: You are looking for Anderak (Level ).
This is the "butterfly" drake at the Druid Rings, in the area of n1280, p20.
Hail Anderak and follow along, or just try saying, "What effects?" to get the first task called, "Anderak #1: Scouting Direwind."
.
2) Now you simply need to explore the zone for task updates.
As a Paladin, I was able to do this solo with levi, invis and my speedy horse!
The updates you need are:
The Gray Legion Encampment is to the south east from the Druid Rings (across the river);
The Valley of the Black Oak is north from the above location (you will see a ramp, stay left of the ramp past the wolves);
The Clan Direwind Boneyard is east of the Druid Rings at the undead;
Lake Darkenmere is at the top of the waterfall you can see from the Druid Rings;
The Dead Hill is on the other side of those waterfalls down in the valley to the north/west (sporali area);
The Darkroot Gardens is further in that same direction in the sporali caves.
.
3) Head back to Anderak.
Hail Anderak to finish this task and for some decent XP!
.
4) Now hail Anderak and follow along, or just try saying, "What effects to get the second task called, "Anderak #2: The Blighted Animals."
.
5) You now need to do some hunting for four (4) each of three (3) different drops, as follows:
You need four (4) Diseased Bear Hearts (No Trade, Weight 0.6) that generally drop off of A Diseased Grizzly (Level 70 to 72), but can drop off of others; They are located past the Sporali area (see Step 2);
You need four (4) Diseased Griffon Hearts (No Trade, Weight 0.6) that generally drop off of A Diseased Griffon (Level 70 to 73); They are located east of the Druid Rings;
You need four (4) Diseased Wolf Hearts (No Trade, Weight 0.6) that generally drop off of A Rabid Wolf (Level 70 to 73), but can drop off of others; They are located just beyond the Green Legion camp (see Step 2).
..
6) Head back to Anderak.
Give Anderak the twelve (12) items you obtained in Step 5, to finish this task.
.
7) Follow along with Anderak again, to get the third task called, "Anderak #3: The Darkroot Gardens."
.
8) Now head to the Sporali area to do some more hunting, as follows:
.
9) Head back to Anderak.
Give Anderak the four Darkroot Plaguespore, to finish this task.
.
10) Follow along with Anderak again, to get the fourth task called, "Anderak #4: The Darkroot Caves."
.
11) Now for the last round of hunting. Head to the sporali caves, to:
NOTE: When I did this task, the text stated to kill more than the task status counter indicated. Example, text said kill five (5) and counter indicated three (3). The counter is what matters.
.
12) Head back to Anderak.
Give Anderak the Gangli's Poisoned Roots to finish this task and claim your reward!
Gratz!
NOTE: Upon finishing this task, Anderak refers you to Vahna, Dryad of Direwind (Level 55), who is right there nearby, for another series of tasks.
