SCRIBED & SILVER-SCRIBED ARMOR

aka Tenish Armor

aka Serpent Spine Tier 1 and Tier 2 Armor

This is a worthwhile quest, if you are over Level 71 (recommended level to wear) or higher.

Obtaining the drops is not all that hard, as they are groupable drops.

This armor is comparable to Qvic gear in stats (Tier 1) and maybe bonuses/effects (Tier 2).

You can only get one (1) of these tasks (quests) at a time. For that reason, don't worry about getting the actual task until such time as you have the drops to for the task (you do not need to have the task first).

NOTE: All noted armor is Paladin only, all races.

NOTE: All armor is recommended Level 75 and required Level 71.

NOTE: All of the Tier 2 Armor has the same exact stats as the Tier 1 Armor. The only difference is that magical effects/bonuses have been added (Tier 1 does not have any effects or bonuses).

SILVER-SCRIBED VAMBRACES: Same stats as above, plus the following... Avoidance 5, Regeneration 2, Damage Shield 3, Improved Dodge III.

STATUS: Verified, all though indirectly!

THE QUEST

1) GET A MOLD: First thing you want to do is get the Mold.

The Molds drop off 1-groupable MOB's and are found as follows:

An Ancient Armplate Mold (No Trade, Weight 0.1); Known to drop off of Chef Gudez (Level 71) in The Steppes;
An Ancient Chestplate Mold (No Trade, Weight 0.1); Known to drop off of Tarnuk Farwalker (Level 78) in Icefall Glacier;
An Ancient Helm Mold (No Trade, Weight 0.1); Known to drop off of Deathshed (Level 78) in Direwind Cliffs or Sulfurog (Level 70) in Sunderock Springs;
An Ancient Legplate Mold (No Trade, Weight 0.1); Known to drop off of Son of Severan (Level 77) in Direwind Cliffs;
An Ancient Plate Boot Mold (No Trade, Weight 0.1); Known to drop off of Taruskor (Level 79) in Icefall Glacier;
An Ancient Plate Bracer Mold (No Trade, Weight 0.1); Known to drop off of Vinelord Molder (Level 78) in Direwind Cliffs or Darkmist (Level 71) in Sunderock Springs;
An Ancient Plate Glove Mold (No Trade, Weight 0.1); Known to drop off of Psilocide (Level 78) in Direwind Cliffs.

2) GET THE PARTS: Once you have a mold, you need to get the parts you need.

You will need one (1) to four (4) of either of two different items, as follows:

You will need a number of Ash Covered Scrap Metal (Weight 0.1) for the Legs (you will need four), Hands (you will need two), Head (you will need three) and Wrist (you will need just one). They are random drops off the trash gnoll MOB's (Level 73 to 77) in Direwind Cliffs around the Son of Sverag camp and the "Ratcaller" camp. They also drop in Sunderock Springs off of trash MOB's (drakes, ooze and mists... Level 64 to 71).
You will need a number of Frosted Scrap Metal (Weight 0.1) for the Chest (you will need four), Arms (you will need three) or Boots (you will need two). They drop off most any trash MOB's in Icefall Glacier (Level 67 to 78) and The Steppes (Level 59 to 69).

3) CRESCENT REACH: You are looking for Tenish (Level 75).

Tenish is located on the main floor, up the ramp behind in the Library area (n1400, n1440).

Hail Tenish and follow along, or just try saying, "What components?"

You will get a task selection window.

Select the task that applies to the Mold and parts you have, from Steps 1 and 2.

You can only get one (1) task at a time.

4) Now turn in the mold and appropriate parts to Tenish to receive the related piece of Tier 1 "Scribed" Armor!

5) GET THE UPGRADE PART: Now that you have the Tier 1 Armor, you need the drop for the Tier 2 Armor.

While Tenish will give you a Tier 2 task before you have the Tier 1 task done, it is not possible to complete the Tier 2 task before finishing the Tier 1 task.

This is because the Tier 1 Armor is a required turn in item for the Tier 2 armor.

You are after a Softly Glowing Power Source (No Trade, Weight 0.0)!

This item drops off various high-end MOB's (Level 76 plus) in Valdeholm, Vergalid Mines and Frostcrypt, Throne of the Shade King.

6) CRESCENT REACH: Head back to Tenish.

Hail Tenish and follow along, or just try saying, "How further?"

You will get a task selection window.

Choose the task that corresponds with the Tier 1 armor you have and want to upgrade.

7) Now give Tenish the Tier 1 Armor item and the Softly Glowing Power Source.

You will get the Tier 2 item!
