--------------------------------------------------------------------

Divine Might is a weapon "proc" (process) spell.

It works on ALL MOB's, not just the undead. It doesn't do as much damage as Nife (65 points maximum, as opposed to 240-plus for Nife).

A Paladin may want to ask if it is worth the trouble, time and expense. However, to have a somewhat regular 65-point damage proc hitting a MOB of any kind, surely can't hurt.

.

SPELL: DIVINE MIGHT: Level 49; Alteration Magic Skill; 100 Mana used; 3-second cast time; 6-second re-cast time; duration is 16.5 Minutes.

THE QUEST

NOTE: All the bones and other related items are NO TRADE! Also, the sidetrack leg in North Freeport at the Hall of Truth is by-passed here, as it is not a necessary part of the quest.

.

1) STEAMFONT MOUNTAINS: Get a port to here and head to the northeast corner of Steamfont, where there are some Minotaur caves.

Head to "Meldrath's Room" (use your map).

The Minotaurs vary from Level 9 to Level 35 and they will aggro. Invisible will work here.

In this room you will find a dusty old skull (Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1) lying on the ground. Pick it up!

..

2) CASTLE MISTMOORE: Make your way to the area of the castle.

Cross the bridge, go to the right and find your way into the "courtyard area" of the castle.

In the far right corner of the courtyard is a little area with a fountain.

You should find a dusty ribcage (Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1) lying on the ground there. Pick it up!

NOTE: If the annual Hardcore Heritage events are active, you will likely find it in Lesser Faydark on top of the Druid Rings.

..

3) NORTH KALADIM: Near the bank you will find an opening into the mines.

Go down in the mines where you will find some ore-car tracks over a pool of water.

Jump in and you will find a dusty broken sword (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0) lying at the bottom. Pick it up!

.

4) While you are here, head back to near the bank area.

Look for a merchant named Kadek Norkhitter (Level 39 to 42) and buy a Pick (Damage 6, Bonus 13, Delay 36, Weight 6.5).

..

5) Now look for a merchant named Aanina Rockfinder (Level 38 to 40).

You will need to buy a Star Ruby (Weight 0.1).

..

6) SOUTH KALADIM: Look for a merchant named Hanamaf Darkfoam (Level 40 or 41) or Dura Darkfoam (Level 42).

Buy two (2) Dwarven Ale from one of them. Hold onto them and don't drink them or you will have to come back.

.

7) ESTATE OF UNREST: Mob’s here vary from Level 10 to Level 40.

Go into the house, through the bookcase door (to left of entrance), through the secret wall (down and to the left) and then all the way down into a pit.

Here you will find, lying on the ground, a dusty old backbone (Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1). Pick it up!

.

8) KEDGE KEEP: This is by far the hardest piece to get.

The Kedge Keep entrance is underwater (very near the tunnel to the Estate of Unrest) in Dagnor's Cauldron.

Kedge Keep is completely underwater and is populated by aggressive mean fish-type MOB's (level 35 to level 50).

You will need to make your way all the way down to the room with Phinigel Atropos (Level 53).

In this room is a deep pit. Down on the pit wall, on one of the rocks, you will find a dusty old fingerbones (Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1). Pick it up!

.

9) ERUDIN: Make your way to the Docks.

Once at the docks and you are facing out to sea, turn right and jump in.

Continue to swim along the cliffs to a ledge. Up near the shear cliff wall, you will find a dusty broken shield (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0) lying on the ground. Pick it up!

.

10) EVERFROST: You will once again need the assistance of someone or have an item / AA for enduring breath.

Simply head east along the North wall until you hit the frozen river (west branch of the river).

You may be able to look down through the ice and see a tunnel opening below. Head back down river (south) and you will find a break in the ice. Jump in and swim back towards the north wall where you will find the tunnel. Swim in the tunnel and you will come up out of the water into a cave.

As I recall, I went to the right, once in the cave. On the ground and near a torch (look under the torches and you will find it soon enough), you will find a dusty old jawbone (Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1). Pick it up!

.

11) GORGE OF KING XORBB aka THE BEHOLDERS MAZE: You need to find and NPC named Diggs Duggum (Level 63).

If I recall, you basically stick to the left wall (from Eastern Plains of Karana) and you will run into him.

Give him Pick and the two Dwarven Aleone per slot -- no stacking!

He will then give you a dusty old leg bone (Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1).

.

12) FIRIONA VIE: Find Brisha Fyrestone (Level 40).

NOTE: Since the 2005 revamp of this zone, Brisha was moved from the hut inside the city itself and is now located on the far side of the lake (p908, n3332) where the underwater tunnel comes out. I have not checked to verify this.

Buy a Fire Emerald (Weight 0.1), if you don't all ready have one. While you are it, you may as well buy 2 (two) Platinum Bar (Weight 0.0) from Brisha, as well.

.

13) Now find Drake Mountainstorm (Level 40) and hand him the Fire Emerald.

He should be right there with or near Brisha.

He will hand back to you a Special Fire Emerald (Weight 0.1).

.

14) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Find a merchant named Kirem Deepfacet (Level 60, located in the buildings behind the main bank).

Buy from him a Sapphire (Weight 0.1), a Fire Opal (Weight 0.1) and a Pearl (Weight 0.1).

.

15) While you are here, shout out for the aide of an Enchanter or recruit the help of an Enchanter friend or guildie.

You will need the Enchanter to enchant the Platinum Bars for you, which is a Level 34 Enchanter spell.

Perhaps a Guildie or another player will enchant them and give them back to you for free. However, offering payment for services will get you more co-operation and faster service. Or check The Bazaar.

Once accomplished, you should get back 2 (two) Enchanted Platinum Bar (Weight 0.1).

.

16) THE BAZAAR: What you need is a Diamond (Weight 0.1), if you don't have one. Rather than buy it from here, you might check vendors in most any zone for one. They are pretty common drops.

.

17) WEST FREEPORT: Outside the city walls, in the "newbie" area is a merchant at a tent named Ping Fuzzlecutter (Level 35).

NOTE: You will need a free bag slot free.

Hail him and say, "What components?"

He will give you an Empty Gem Bag (Lore, No Drop, 8-slot, Small, 0% Weight Reduction, Weight 0.6).

.

18) Put the Diamond, the two Enchanted Platinum Bar (one per slot), Sapphire, Fire Opal, Pearl, the Special Fire Emerald and the Star Ruby in the Empty Gem Bag.

Combine them to get a Full Gem Bag (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0).

.

19) Give the Full Gem Bag to Ping.

Now say to him, "Tell me about the coffin.." (to include the two dots/periods... just as shown).

He will give you a Gem Encrusted Casket (Lore, No Drop, 8-Slot, Large, 0% Weight Reduction, Weight 5.0).

.

20) Put a dusty old skull, a dusty ribcage, a dusty broken sword, a dusty old backbone, dusty old fingerbones, a dusty broken shield, a dusty old jawbone and a dusty old leg bone into the Gem Encrusted Casket.

Combine them to get A Gem Encrusted Casket (Lore, No Drop, Weight 5.0).

.

21) COMMONLANDS: Now you may need the help of a group or at least a high level player!

The final battle is about to take place!

By the lake (I believe on the west side) you will find Simon Aldicot (Level 65).

When ready, give him A Gem Encrusted Casket.

This will spawn a Tortured Revenant (Level 48 or 49… this is really the tortured soul of Darak Lightforge, whose bones you have been collecting all along).

Kill him! Once he is dead, you will need to loot Revenant Ash (Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1)

.

22) Now give the Revenant Ash to Simon Aldicot and he will give you the Spell: Divine Might!
